Wednesday Giveaway

Barb Walsh is this week’ winner—congrats to Barb!

She will receive a very cute (and functional!) pincushion made by Cohana. It goes nicely with the Knickknack bags and totes on my site by the same maker.

The wooden base of this pincushion, with its uniquely plump, round shape, is made from fragrant cypress from the Kii Mountains in southern Japan. The bottom is flat to keep the pincushion from rolling. You can run a cord through the leather loop and use it to attach it the pincushion to your bag.

  1. Oh so neat! Two of my three children have been to Japan so this little cushion would have a warm spot in my heart. Thanks Becky!

Loved the story about the Kauai shave ice vendor.
Yes, there’s something about coming home to Hawaii.

  4. I have gotten back into EPP because of your site/videos and love the tools I have gotten from you. Ur trip to Hawaii looked so beautiful and I would love to return to one of the islands again…you have such interesting goodies, such as this little pincushion, to use with handwork. Reminds me of my grandmother in her rocker working on a pillowcase or quilt…

  5. This is the cutest pin cushion. I so enjoy hand sewing and embroidery, too. I’m glad that we are able to have some Japanese sewing and quilting “tools” available in more variety now. I love their sense of utilitarian style.
