Wednesday Giveaway

Robin is this week’s lucky winner! She will receive a pack of 1˝ hexies by Sue Daley and a spool of white Aurifil 80wt cotton thread. Hexies are fun to sew and can be sort of mindless. That’s not a bad thing! Sometimes you need a project that does not require deep thought. The 80wt thread is my fav for EPP.

  1. Love to start a English paper piecing project and try out the 80 wt thread–especially since I’m housebound until April 7th in the SFO Bay Area. Thanks for offering this up… we need something mindless.

  2. So nice to self-quarantine. Haven’t we all been practicing this for years. Love those hexies, but have not used 80 wt. thread. I’d love to try it!

  3. I love the repetitive activity of the hexies. Sewing them is so relaxing. They can help the time pass during the self quarantine.

  4. I’m stay home and sewing for the foreseeable future. I had planned to visit my brother in Durant and visit your shop. I hope to see you in person sometime in the summer. In the mean time, stay safe and best wishes.

  5. Thank you for your generous offer. I have found over the last few weeks that quilters have been very mindful of the need to relax the mind in the present turmoil. We are a social people and hearing from so many in the quilting world through their blogs has been uplifting.

  6. This is my favorite size hexie…I have been doing EPP for a couple years now and have finished one large project. This size works well for me when I am adding a touch of decoration to kitchen towels and hand towels. Makes great gifts and boutique items for quilt guild.

  9. Thank you so much for the free pattern! I love that you saw potential in the shape of this virus. Thank you for the chance to win Hexies, I would love to do some epp.
Your Jim sounds just like our new adopted stray Tigger. He is the poster cat for kitty ADHD and lives up to his name! We love the little hellion but he is exhausting.

  10. Thanks for mentioning the Lolo cuticle sticks well over a year ago. I was delighted to pick one up at the Houston Quilt Show that year. Love it…and the ones that have come after it 🙂
