Wednesday Giveaway

Darlene B. is this week’s winner and she will receive a Sewline Trio Fabric Pencil. It comes with white, black (or graphite), and pink ‘leads’. I would replace the pink with a 2nd white refill because I’m not a fan of colored lines, but that’s me :-). It is handy to have white and graphite in the same pencil. I agree with you about not using colored marking tools. I once used a pink powdered chalk marker, the kind with a little toothed wheel, and it did not come out. Luckily, I noticed quickly, and only did a small area. But it stayed even after washing the quilt. I have a good hint for the blue painter’s tape. You can cut yourself a straight narrow strip to use. Just pull off a strip and stick it to your cutting mat, lined up carefully along a grid line. Use an old rotary cutter blade and your ruler to cut a 1/4” or 1/2” wide strip. Leave the rest in place to cut a new strip when you wear out that one.
