Wednesday Giveaway – We have a winner!

Thanks for all the great comments and stories about birds! So fun to read. Jamis Kresyman was chosen by the random number generator to receive the Backyard Birds book!

There are 12 blocks featuring robins, cardinals, orioles, nuthatches, and other favorite feathered friends from the back yard. Mix and match, or sew them all to make a 52” x 65” quilt with appliqué borders. Also included are instructions to make a 4 block 39” x 39” quilt.

I’ll be back with another Giveaway next Wednesday. Until then you can shop for all sorts of sewing notions, books, and other fun stuff at pieceocake.com!

  1. This is beautiful I would love to have this to work on this winter when all the ward mowing and canning and freezing are behind me.

  2. You just can’t get enough birds. The bird nest outside my window held three baby birds and last week they flew away. I am glad they’ve started their new journey. Now I need to sew birds.

  4. This would be a wonderful project for the upcoming winter season and holidays. Great challenge for me because of the details.

  5. I have been tempted by this book in your shop. I really enjoy watching the birds in my backyard. During “Snowmageddon 2021” I counted 19 different varieties on my feeder or on the ground under it!

  6. I have a way to keep your needles threaded if you are using silk or very fine thread. Thread the needle, then take the same end of the thread and go back thru the needle in the opposite direction, thread your needle in the loop of thread you have just created. Tighten the loop around the needle and it will slide thru your fabric when you appliqué. I hope this is plain enough for you to understand.
