Wednesday Giveaway — Oh, the wonder – All for “Uptownconnie”!!

Mini Wonder Clips are perfect for English paper piecing and can substitute for pins in many piecing situations. Connie will receive the 20-count package (we also carry a 10-count package of rainbow-colored clips). Check out this video for helpful tips. The photo below is from our April 20th newsletter. I used wonder clips to hold the binding in place on my Water Lily quilt before Steve stitched it down.

I’ll be back with another Giveaway next Wednesday. Until then you can shop for all sorts of sewing notions, books, and other fun stuff at pieceocake.com!

  1. Love these clips to hold my binding in place and also to keep my quilt blocks organized by clipping them in order before sewing.

  2. I love those clips, too but found out that they seem “to age”. The clear plastic lip breaks just like that. At least that is what the red topped do. I bought some other- I think they are yellow and green, and am waiting how they keep. If they break again, I’m not going to buy them any more, it is a waste of plastic and not ecological at all.

    • I haven’t noticed that but it’s not a total surprise. Plastic stuff seems like it will last forever, but it doesn’t always stay ‘whole’ forever. And, when you think about it, each individual clips is not an expensive item. You can use other things, the regular WonderClips might work but will be heavier. You could try little metal clips, the ones with the wire handles. They would also be heavier, but should work. some people use flat metal hair clips but I haven’t so can’t say how well they work.

      • Well, thanks for telling me about other possibilities. It is not the price, it is the waste. In these times, with oceans full of plastic, for me it doesn’t seem advisable to use plastic when it breaks that easily. The Company should think about that.

  3. Always enjoy your tips and patterns! I even use my clips around the house for random things like clipping papers and chip bags and rolling my toothpaste tube….
