Wednesday Giveaway – Rest for Nancy Lewis!

Rest for her iron, that is! This week’s winner, Nancy Lewis, will receive Sew Hot Iron Rest, made of silicone in a minty fresh shade of pale green that allows you to place your hot iron flat on the surface, eliminating the need to stand your iron up on its end.

I’ll be back with another Giveaway next Wednesday. Until then you can shop for all sorts of sewing notions, books, and other fun stuff at pieceocake.com!

  1. This iron rest really protects your ironing surface. I bought a small Oliseo (sp?) iron a few years ago which came with its own iron-shaped protector. But it still became hot, and I was afraid it would scorch or burn my cotton ironing surface. So I bought one of these rectangular pads that rests under the iron’s pad (i.e., two pads.) I’m not anxious about that hot little iron anymore.

  2. I could use this little iron rest. Headed out to a class at Madeline Island School of Arts and this would be a real help. No jump up and run to an ironing board.

  3. Sounds very handy especially if you have cats that might like to jump up on the ironing table, which then shakes it and sometimes makes the iron coming crashing to the floor hehe…

  4. A very useful device! I’ve just recovered my ironing board and this would be a great way to keep the new surface clean and fresh!

  5. Went to your class in Augusta Maine and loved it. Really anxious to do a lot of hand sewing and applique this winter. Would love this item especially for when I go to quilt retreat where I have a small iron and not great space to iron on,

  6. Any advice about irons? They always seem to start leaking or something after a few years. One of the best quilting recommended irons was the worst one I ever bought.
