This leather pad sticks to your fingers with a strong adhesive. You can reuse it many times. It is thick enough to protect your finger but is somewhat flexible.

This is a notion I haven’t yet tried, but I do occasionally push the non-business end of the needle through my callous, and can see how this would be useful for extending stitching time. Ouch!

I’ve never been comfortable with a thimble but I can put one of these pads on the side of my middle finger where I push the needle and it works great!
