Jen Kingwell makes a great tool to add a precise 1/4 inch seam allowance to a finished template—the Simple Seam Wheel – this week’s Wednesday Giveaway!

Place the Simple Seam Wheel next to a finished-size template, put a sharp pencil in the hole, run the wheel around the template to add a 1/4″ seam allowance.
I’ll be back with another Giveaway next Wednesday. Until then you can shop for all sorts of sewing notions, books, and other fun stuff at pieceocake.com!
I would love to try this with my appliqué patterns

I’m grateful for the opportunity to participate in your giveaways – I’ve been eyeing the seam allowance wheel for a few weeks at least, but can’t justify spending money on what would (because I don’t sew for pay, I’m disabled and low income, and sewing/cutting are not my most intense fiber arts areas of effort of the last year or so… I am doing a fair bit of appliqué, and I think this could come in useful not only for marking out allowances around templates but a number of other things.
Eventually I want to buy one, even if I’m not the one picked, but it would be a nice surprise if it was me.
Thanks for all the great content! I usually unsubscribe from supplier emails, but the added ideas for those of who can’t order often is much appreciated!
