Wednesday Giveaway – Backyard Birds goes to Shellie!

Robins, cardinals, orioles, nuthatches, and other favorite feathered friends from the back yard are all part of this week’s giveaway – the Backyard Birds book.

Included in the pattern pack are 12 easy appliqué blocks to mix and match, or sew them all to make a 52” x 65” quilt with appliqué borders. These 12″ x 12″ finished size blocks are bursting with fresh colors and are easy enough to be fun for quilters of all levels.

You can see more details about the blocks and suggested notions by clicking here and then clicking on the Backyard Books on the books page in our store. (When we received the latest order of books from the publisher, I noticed that this one’s cover was not pristine, hence, the giveaway.)

I’ll be back with another Giveaway next Wednesday. Until then you can shop for all sorts of sewing notions, books, and other fun stuff at pieceocake.com!

  1. My brother is an avid bird watcher. By the way, I don’t know what I would do without my sandboard! I do a lot of hand piecing and hand applique. I’d be lost without it.

  2. I really enjoy your pattern books. I think this current book focused on the variety of birds for applique is very nice. I certainly would love to win this book. Thank you so much for awesome books and patterns.

  3. Made a small version of the birds holiday quilt and I am now hooked on wool appliqué. Called mine Love Me Some Birds! Makes me smile every time I look at it. I do love your little birdies!

    • I took a workshop with Becky last year to learn her technique using the Birds in Toyland. Highly recommend a workshop with her if anyone ever has the opportunity. Would love to see your small version. Wish we could share pictures here. 🙂
