It’s the perfect way to keep track of your needle and is made of smooth enamel with a strong magnet. Put the enamel side on top of the fabric in your hoop, with the magnet on the back. The magnet is strong enough that your needle will stick to the enamel side when you’re not using it.

I had a very terrible needle incident as a young woman–a dropped needle sticking up from the floor was impaled into my foot, eye end first, then broke off. You should have seen all the interns coming into the room to look at the X-rays! I learned my lesson the hard way. Needle minders are an absolute treasure.
