Wednesday Giveaway – Magic!

This week we are giving away a set of 50 of the Magic Fine Quilting Pins to our winner – Alisa K. Magic Pins are a little bit flexible and come to a very sharp point. The plastic end of the pin is ridged to make it easier to hold and is also heat resistant to prevent melting during ironing. We have three varieties of these pins in our store – Quilting Pins, Silk Pins and Patchwork Pins. The Magic Fine Quilting pin is 0.5mm thick and 1 3/4″ long. It is longer than the fine Magic Patchwork and Silk pins and more what you might think of as a ‘quilt pin’.

I’ll be back with another Giveaway next Wednesday. Until then you can shop for all sorts of sewing notions, books, and other fun stuff at pieceocake.com.

  1. One can never have too many pins! I have not tried this pin yet, but it looks interesting. Thanks for the opportunity to enter this giveaway.

  2. I need a magic pin. I believe my pins are too thick. I just finished making a Lonestar Quilt block. The diamonds were a challenge pinning with yellow head pins. Flat head pins had the same issue. I am also left handed. I pin normally from the left. However, it was taught in the class to pin from the right edge and perpendicular.

A magic pin might have made all the difference in my joins and stress level.

  3. I don’t “need” any more pins, but these look wonderful – and who says “need” the only reason to shop for quilting supplies! I would love to try these!

  4. I’d love to give these a try. Arthritic fingers make it difficult to hold onto most pins but with the larger grip that may make things easier.

  6. The Magic Quilting Pins sound just what my very old arthritic hands need. I can’t use safety pins anymore and basting is hard. I hope these are the answer.

  7. I just found your website, and so thankful that I did! I LOVE your YouTube channel! I am fairly new to hand stitching. I ordered one of your books from Amazon today and am very excited to get it. Would love to win these pins as I have been eyeing them for a while.

  8. My “experienced” fingers and eyes need those pins. And good luck with your knitting project; I think the Amy Herzog book will be a good one.
