Where have I been!

I’m sorry – I’ve been so busy that I’ve forgotten to blog. I have no excuses. So, what have I been doing? I’ve been learning QuickBooks (which Linda knows inside and out, but I do not). I’ve been machine quilting, but not as much as I should. I’ve been working on supply lists.

I’ve been preparing for the LAST Jinny Beyer Seminar in Hilton Head. I am so thankful that I was asked to teach for her at this event. I hope to see some of you there! Karen Stone is teaching too (among others) and I’m looking forward to getting to visit with her.

Steve and I are building raised beds. Steve has access to lots of cedar trees that need to be cut down. So he went out with his trusty chain saws (the big one and the less-big one) and slayed some – it was economical and green.

Late this afternoon we got the first load of soil mix and I was shoveling. It’s going to take a little more than 3 pick-up loads.

I hope each and every one of you has had a good week and, as Arnold says: I’ll be back.

  1. Becky you have inspired me to get my gardening spot started. I will be checking back to see how things are going with you. I am new to your blog. I have taken a class from you at Freestone Quilt Guild (Texas) years ago and learned so much about applique. I am thinking of trying to come up with a project for your new book and I have a couple of questions. Does the project have to present as a whole block or could I take components from the block and use them independently? Next question–do we need to use your fabrics?

  2. Hi, Becky, I have a D50 Nikon. I love it!!! It is simple enough for me, but has enough options to make it really usable. I love the birdhouses!!! How cute!!! I’m looking forward to your next visit to Florida!

  3. What an opportunity to win a block made by you. Our guild Quilters Anonymous, Seattle, Wa is having our quilt show in March, Members are making small quilts for donations and the funds will be used to continue our community service projects. Our project is called “Quilts to Go”
