I saw this this little fire hydrant in a parking lot near Evergreen, CO. It must be nearly invisible to drivers. You can imagine the sequence of events:
- Paint it red.
- Add a flag!
- Station a large pole on either side to protect it.
It looks like the 'bodyguards' have taken some hits.


Forgot about the fire hydrant “bodyguards” and had to smile. They are all over Colorado, mostly to identify where they are when the snow has covered them and to keep people from “sliding” into the hydrant on the icy roads. I moved from Grand Junction right before Linda moved there – drats – would loved to have taken a class or two from her.
