It’s nice to be warm…

I’m home from a lovely time with the Cottonwood Quilter’s Guild in Omaha. The class and lectures were full of people who came in all bundled up because it was really COLD while I was there! I’m now back in north Texas where the morning temperature was in the mid-30’s and it felt almost balmy :-).

Many of you are still living in really cold conditions and I hope you don’t have to be out in it too much. Unless, of course, you feel like surfing Lake Erie…

  1. I must now go to bed under my fuzzy blankets and quilt – just watching that video made me really cold. If I were in Buffalo (and thankfully I’m on the other side of the state) I’d be in front of a fire doing some hand piecing or knitting – not surfing! YIKES!!!

    • I had to wonder just how often surfing is possible on Lake Erie? And then I wondered just how frozen those guys were, after they walked out of the water. If I was their mother I would whack them upside of their heads!

  2. When a state of emergency is declared, it’s pretty stupid to do something like this. Not only could they get arrested, they’re asking for hypothermia or worse.
