I’m home from a lovely time with the Cottonwood Quilter’s Guild in Omaha. The class and lectures were full of people who came in all bundled up because it was really COLD while I was there! I’m now back in north Texas where the morning temperature was in the mid-30’s and it felt almost balmy :-).
Many of you are still living in really cold conditions and I hope you don’t have to be out in it too much. Unless, of course, you feel like surfing Lake Erie…

Brrrr…..I was warm until I watched that video…..Brrrrrr.

I must now go to bed under my fuzzy blankets and quilt – just watching that video made me really cold. If I were in Buffalo (and thankfully I’m on the other side of the state) I’d be in front of a fire doing some hand piecing or knitting – not surfing! YIKES!!!

I had to wonder just how often surfing is possible on Lake Erie? And then I wondered just how frozen those guys were, after they walked out of the water. If I was their mother I would whack them upside of their heads!

Saw that on the news tonight–no one thought it was a good idea…

When a state of emergency is declared, it’s pretty stupid to do something like this. Not only could they get arrested, they’re asking for hypothermia or worse.

I’m sure their mothers were not happy either.
