Jeff lives in NYC and I don’t get to see him often, so it was a treat to see our son looking so very spiffy in these photos. You can see more photos from the event here.
Jeff is a member of the Biostatics faculty at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia where they are celebrating the Department’s 75th anniversary. That’s all I know about the event, other than the fact that my son surely did look nice at the podium.
I suspect it as true for you as it is for me: it just makes me grin when I compare memories of my kids when they to little to the adults they have grown to be.
You must be so proud!!

I miss Celia’s whimsical posts and hearing about college life, then NYC life. Jeff looks very handsome and official!! What’s up with your other son, DIL, et. al.? We haven’t seen pictures of your grand-daughter for awhile…

I do need to post more of the kids but I’m also trying to be sensitive to that whole oversharing thing. It’s hard to know now what they will be happy to look back on, later in life.
You know, people like me, of a certain age, don’t have to worry about what sort of old photos of us are out there for anyone to see because they are safely boxed up or in scrapbooks. I wonder what kids today are going think when they get older? Their young selves may just be a click away. That’s why I’m being more careful.
