Sue Singer is this week’s lucky winner of the COB LED Light shown below. Congrats to Sue!
As I said in my newsletter, Anna Rice, from Tampa, sent me an email last week about the two ‘wonderful life saving LED lights’ that she and her husband used to light their way after Irma knocked out the power. Here’s a bit of Anna’s email:
“These lights were so valuable to us in times of no electricity — lit the kitchen well enough for me to prepare a full meal using Sterno can placed in colander with skewers laid across to hold cooking pots. What fun???? Anyway those lights are fabulous. I had previously placed one under my computer desk so I could see what I was trying to do regarding computer things like plugging in flash drives. LOVE YOUR SITE and will shop as often as I can.”

love when you bring us so many neat products!

very interesting light! Going to go and look into getting one – our overhead kitchen light went out and will be quite expensive to replace/repair. Now just have a single lamp to cook by:) Love your blog and your patterns!

Love this idea for a power outage. They happen to everyone at sometime. Never occurred to me. Maybe better than a flash light?

Thanks so much for this. We have a lot of power outages during the winter, so I’m heading to the website to check this out. More and more, I’ve been giving useful, emergency preparation-type gifts to our grown nieces for Christmas because it seems as if they buy the fun stuff for themselves during the year and that way I don’t worry so much about them when emergencies happen. This might go on my list.

Too bad we didn’t have one of those in our downstairs bathroom last winter when our grandkids were staying with us & we had a power outage. My poor grand daughter was in the shower & it gets pitch dark in there when all the lights in the neighborhood are out!

I read the background information from your link and it was really interesting. I live in an older house in the historic district in our town. The circuit breaker is in the basement and basements in these houses are like dungeons! Every year there is something to do to “modernize” and keep the house to its true history staying within the confines of the Historical Committee. When we have a power surge and the circuit breaker cuts off as a safety measure…(you know what I’m going to say) it seems like the last person to use the flashlight didn’t put it back in its place! This light would be perfect and I would hide it from my family!
