Gone to heaven…

Mom died peacefully, in her sleep, on December 23. I wanted to write sooner but time got away from me.

Lorna took this video of mom a few weeks ago and I have to share it with you. If you watch all 30 seconds, I guarantee that you will laugh. (On my screen the video looks sideways until you click the play button.)

My mother would wish each and every one of you a Merry Christmas, personally and with feeling, if she could. She can’t, so I’m doing it for her. Enjoy the holidays, make memories to treasure, and it might be a good idea to take a video or two :-).

  1. Becky – I am so sad for you. I’ll bet she’s in the choir in Heaven. My love and condolences and very best wishes to you and your family. Your mom had at least one very special daughter and grandchildren who chose wonderful wives and gave her terrific great grandchildren. What a wonderful life she had! Oh, and that verse about the ground being brown – I’ve never heard that one but then I’ve always lived in either Connecticut or upstate New York.

  5. May your very best memories sustain you through this Christmas season. When spring comes to Texas, plant a flowering bush or tree in her memory. Every time it flowers, I guarantee you will smile with fond memories.

  6. I’m sorry for your loss Becky. Losing your Mom is always a tough one. When my Mom passed I gathered some of her favorite recipes and some fun pictures of her and made a book out of them. Shutterfly made it very easy to do. I gave a copy to my daughters and nieces and they loved them. It helped me too in the process.
