Wednesday Giveaway

PMBremer is this week’s lucky winner! She will receive one white General’s Charcoal Pencil and five different Blackwing pencils from my stash. I would use any of these on fabric. the General’s charcoal pencil is the pencil I use most on fabric. I use a light touch with these firm Blackwing pencils on fabric.

I’ll be back with another Giveaway next Wednesday. Until then you can shop for all sorts of sewing notions, books, and other fun stuff at pieceocake.com!

  2. You make drawing look so easy. I think it’s like free-motion quilting, just takes persistence and practice. I would love to try new pencils. Thanks for the giveaway.

  3. Thanks for the recommendation on fabric pencils. Now … do you recommend a good eraser? I have an old, big, white, rectangular eraser that used to have the words Fabric Eraser on it. It’s okay at getting pencil marks off white fabric, but wonder if you know of something really good?

    • Your white eraser might be as good as the Tri-Tip eraser from General’s . If I had to erase, that’s what I would use. Or I would try the Aqua Erase Pen loaded with water and the appropriate soap. Mostly I do my best to not make marks that need to be erased.

  5. I taught K-12 Art in public schools for almost 40 years.Contour drawing was something all students enjoyed, and most felt successful at.
    This was very gratifying.

  6. Oh my, sketching a shoe brings back fond memories of about 35 years ago. I took a drawing class at my local community college and a shoe was our first sketching task. I still have that sketched “shoe.” My husband’s blue striped Adidas is long-gone. 😂
