Kathryn Laposata is this week’s winner and she is going to love her new Sew Hot Iron Rest! This silicone iron rest allows you to place your hot iron flat on the surface, eliminating the need to stand your iron up on its end. The Sew Hot Iron Rest can withstand up to 500° F (260° C) but be aware that heat will pass through the iron rest so be sure to place it on a standard ironing surface, not a metal surface. And please don’t leave your hot iron on the rest, walk away, and ignore it.

I’ll be back with another Giveaway next Wednesday. Until then you can shop for all sorts of sewing notions, books, and other fun stuff at pieceocake.com!
Hi Becky – enjoyed your stretching exercises today. I’ve been working with a physical therapist on my back, and foremost in our work is helping me to be able to sew / craft more. My core work has improved greatly. The silicon iron rest looks very nifty! Thanks for once again having a great prize offer and for making useful and entertaining videos – Cheers, Sam

I’m glad you are working your core! I used to have a lot of lower back pain and then I discovered pilates in my 40s. Pilates is all about working your core and I incorporate a fair bit of it in the yoga classes I teach. It will indeed help you to sew happier.

This would be great for my mini-iron. It always rolls around, and hard to keep on the little stand.

What a great idea. Love the size. Setting the mini iron on it’s little stand annoys me. With one of these I can just set it aside and it will be in a safe place.
