Wednesday Giveaway

Seam rippers… I have a love/hate relationship with mine. I don’t like having to use one but I do love it when it works well.

Connie Werner is this week’s winner. She will receive one of Alex Anderson’s 4-in-1 tools that has a great ripper, a stiletto, a flat end for pressing and a pointy end to Turing corners inside-out.

I’ll be back with another Giveaway next Wednesday. Until then you can shop for all sorts of sewing notions, books, and other fun stuff at pieceocake.com!

  1. Alex Anderson seems to have a knack for inventing helpful tools. I’ve often thought about getting this tool but like you, I have a love/hate relationship with seam rippers and have usually spent as little money as possible on them. Maybe if I bought a good one, that relationship would change. LOL

  2. Was recently looking for my seam ripper and couldn’t find it, so this would be ideal timing, Becky. I’ve been floundering with picking out wonky seams as of late. Necessity has meant using a chubby needle and tiny scissors, but I live in fear of damaging my work. Fingers crossed.

  3. i love the quilt show and have a few of their products. the seam ripper i use is from when i learned to sew…a long long time ago. i have a few cheap ones that came w/ sewing machines but my 1st one is my go to seam ripper. alex’s essential tool would be an awesome replacement.

  4. Seam rippers are my most used notion (besides needle & threads & scissors). I have them like Dollar Store reading glasses – everywhere, waiting to be used.

  5. Sounds like a jack-of-all-trades tool that would make unpleasant tasks at least easy. Thanks, Becky, for offering the Wednesday Giveaways. They are always fun to see!

  6. This looks like a wonderful tool that everyone can use! That is, unless they never have to rip out a seam. I’ve done many – some of the same ones twice!

  8. I’m the same way but I love gadgets that make my life easier when I need them. Always on the prowl for the perfect one. I would live to give this one a try.
