Wednesday Giveaway – We have a winner!

Thanks for all the great comments and stories about birds! So fun to read. Jamis Kresyman was chosen by the random number generator to receive the Backyard Birds book!

There are 12 blocks featuring robins, cardinals, orioles, nuthatches, and other favorite feathered friends from the back yard. Mix and match, or sew them all to make a 52” x 65” quilt with appliqué borders. Also included are instructions to make a 4 block 39” x 39” quilt.

I’ll be back with another Giveaway next Wednesday. Until then you can shop for all sorts of sewing notions, books, and other fun stuff at pieceocake.com!

  1. We are visiting southern Oregon and love watching all the birds here in the countryside. The quilt pattern would be a wonderful way to remember these beautiful birds!

  2. What a lovely book! I am beginning nature study with my children this year, so we have been really paying attention to the birds in our area. Birds are really intelligent and such fascinating creatures. I love how you have portrayed them in your book.

  3. So fun! I love my backyard birds, and they lift my spirits when I need it. I always talk to my mom (gone now) when I see a cardinal because she loved them so and might be near.

  4. Are those birds cute, or what?! I’m a great fan of birds, and with some tweaking one can change a bird to one of your liking. For instance, my favorite bird is the painted bunting, which is unfortunately becoming rare. I have a feeling this book will not become rare!

I also love my new Lap App. People need to check them out. Great for working in the truck on leisurely trips. The little pocket is so handy.
