I have finally completed my version of your My Whimsical Quilt Garden pattern. I started collecting fabrics for it in 2014. The appliqué was my hand sewing project to take to quilt group gatherings for several years. During Covid lockdown I finished the last few blocks at home, created the borders, assembled the quilt top and machine quilted on my stationary machine. It was completed in time to display in the Palmetto Quilt Guild’s quilt show this weekend on Hilton Head Island, SC. I love this quilt and have hung it in my breakfast room. What a cheery way to start the day!

I have to agree, this is a very cheery quilt! Thank you, Diane, for sharing your amazing quilt with us all. Your fabric choices are perfect and I’m happy that you finished in time for it to hang in the show. I’ll bet you have fun seeing it there! Happy stitching, now and in the future :-).
Your quilt looks terrific! (Better late than never !) The border is great addition & draws attention to the blocks. Good show!

Becky,I took an applique class with you, years ago, in upstate N.Y. I truly enjoyed it and learned soooooo much!I saw the quilt above and it reminded me of the whimsical nature of your quilts. I especially love the colored “sticks” on the boarder. It’s so clever! Thanks for being you, and sharing your God given talent. You make this world just a little bit happier, and heaven knows we need it. Carol

Looks great. It also can take me a long time in making my projects, so it is reassuring that I am not the only one. Enjoy your quilt and happy quilting with your next one. Jxo

What a delightful, cheery quilt! I especially like how some of the appliqué “bleeds” into the edge
of the blocks.

Based on your recommendation, I gave a friend one of your black wing pencil sharpeners, and she loves it! Time to order one for me, too!
