When Becky taught at Empty Spools last month, she split a set of special Vol 651 Blackwing pencils. This week’s winner, Ruth Buchanan, gets the remaining 9 pencils!
They hold the same extra firm graphite as the Natural pencils and are suitable to use (lightly) on fabric. The Vol 651 pencils are a distinctive black and yellow striped design that goes with the story for this limited edition volume. Check out this story and others on our Blackwing page!

I love using the graphite pencils for applique tracing ever since you introduced it to me in a workshop last year. I used to always use pencils until I was told to use wash-away or heat-erase instead. I felt like I’d been doing it wrong forever, but am so happy to fund our that I’m not! Thanks, Becky
