Jen Kingwell makes a great tool to add a precise 1/4 inch seam allowance to a finished template—the Simple Seam Wheel – this week’s Wednesday Giveaway!

Place the Simple Seam Wheel next to a finished-size template, put a sharp pencil in the hole, run the wheel around the template to add a 1/4″ seam allowance.
I’ll be back with another Giveaway next Wednesday. Until then you can shop for all sorts of sewing notions, books, and other fun stuff at pieceocake.com!

I could use this tool for my EPP templates.

This is the niftiest tool – especially when working with curves. I have used one like it since I began quilting almost forty years ago! The only problem with these tiny gadgets is that they tend to get lost – I need a new one. Hope I win!

I’m in the middle of one of Jen Kingwell’s quilts now which doesn’t require a template. However, the next one I make will. So, this tool would be very helpful.

I love this tool. The only problem is how tiny it is… I think I’ve put it away in the same spot as always but the next time I need it I have to hunt for it again! It’s not the tool… it’s disorganized me! I really need to have an extra one!!

Back to my beginning quilting days! I learned by using templates, and still use them when I want an unusual or precise shape. This is easier than a ruler when you have curves. Thanks for the giveaway!
