I do have a question about these bobbins. I bought your “frosting” bobbins a long time ago and loved them. I realize they were in the donut shaped bobbin cases but are the threads the same? If not, can you tell me the difference between the two? Thanks so much Becky!
Hi Angie: Yes, these are the same threads. Superior discontinued several colors in the 2-ply bobbins and consolidated them to 2 sets with 25 each. The boxes are easier to deal with than the rings and the plastic bobbins are sturdier than the cardboard ones. I carry both of the new sets and the replacement bobbins (except for the colors that are gone).
I have both of the bobbin box sets,purchased from you and I love using them for applique. Like the thread and so handy to have all colors by my side as I stitch.

The bobbin size is so easy to carry along when traveling and I have found that used dental floss containers are also great for storing the bobbins and already have a cutter attached, so scissors are not a prerequisite.
What a great idea! These are very useful colors. Love the idea of using bobbins instead of all these spools; I’m appliqueing a multicolor project right now.
I have been using these for years. They are great to carry around with small applique projects. I made the needle case to go with my applique things. I LOVE the thread.
