This week Adele won a set of Clover’s Black Gold sharps. There are 3 needle sizes included (even though the photo just shows one size). I like having needle size options :-). Black Gold sharps have a really sharp point and I love them!
If you aren’t Adele and still would like to try these needles, click here.
I’ll be back next Wednesday with another Giveaway. Happy stitching!
You can always find this and more at pieceocake.com!

Love the black gold needles. Which size do you use?

I use a size 12 for hand applique. The bigger sizes can be good for hand piecing and other hand sewing jobs. It all depends on what you are sewing at the time.

I’m not a quilter but I do sew and am delighted with this blog, so many ideas so little time. I would love to win this week’s offering, the needles as you can never have enough. I even have curved needles in my supply because on occasion I upholster furniture. I just finished recovering a bolster that was wearing out. There is a new, at least to me, fabric store at 4221 Garrett Rd, Ste 3A, Durham, NC that you need to see. I needed 2.5 yards of lime colored fabric to re-cover my bolster and I found it even less expensive than the major chain fabric store with a 40% off sale at the chain store. Great prices, friendly staff. Check them out if you are in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill, NC area. While they primarily offer fabrics for drapes and upholstery. some of it could be used for back the quilt and some remnants might also be useful for quilting projects.
