Lisa Benson is this week’s winner! She will receive two helpful piecing tools. Use Sewing Edge strips to mark the 1/4″ seam allowance on the bed of your sewing machine. Removable and repositionable, Cutting Edge strips stick to the bottom of any smooth acrylic ruler. No sticky tape, and they last forever. The thickness creates an edge that stops at the fabric.

I’ll be back with another Giveaway next Wednesday. Until then you can shop for all sorts of sewing notions, books, and other fun stuff at pieceocake.com!

So the cutting edge could be used instead of the 1/4 ruler used in paper piecing?
Thanks for this opportunity

I need a straight seam! Even after years of sewing I can still get wonky seams if not paying super close attention. Quarter edge feet are fine where you are sewing, but one needs to line it up properly and that’s where I go wrong, especially if I hurt or am tired. I’d love to try the non-slips for my rulers. I got mine pre 2000 + afterwards ONLY a few. They are expensive! So I do not plan on tossing them for the new gripper ones. If I ever did that you know they would have even better ones the next week. BTW, I like the new and improved web+ blog site. Nice & Clean looking. Thanks for holding this giveaway.

Well I have this love affair with “Frog Tape”. With “sewing edge” I might get rid of the stacked green tape on my machine. Since I have a couple machines I could use any help I could get. Oh yes, and what line am I on, 7/8 who thought that was a good idea??? Thanks for all the cool tools, Becky.
After more than a few years of hanging with Dairy people, when I see round bails. I think dry cow hay? How soon you going to get that off the field? Mold? no good makes the cows abort. I could go on and on. Funny how our experiences make us see different thing. Still love the round bails at sunset.

I’ve never tried either one! I’d love to try the sewing edge. Traded machines last year & just haven’t done much piecing on it yet, mostly quilting. My wonderful old Pfaff didn’t have a very large harp but pieced like a dream! The Juki 2010 is helping me learn to FMQ!

This sewing edge would be perfect for my elderly quilting friend. In her younger years she was a meticulous and precise quilter. Unfortunately as she aged, her vision has declined and her ability to sew an accurate quarter inch seam is nearly impossible.
Today is her birthday and I want to give her the ability to sew like she did before her vision declined!

looks like a big help. I seem to have the ruler slip much too often so my 2 1/2 inch strips aren’t always 2 1/2. Thanks for the opportunity !!
