This silicone iron rest allows you to place your hot iron flat on the surface, eliminating the need to stand your iron up on its end. The Sew Hot Iron Rest can withstand up to 500° F (260° C) but be aware that heat will pass through the iron rest so be sure to place it on a standard ironing surface, not a metal surface. And please don’t leave your hot iron on the rest, walk away, and ignore it.

I could really use this iron rest! My mini Oliso iron has its own rest, but when I forgot to unplug it once, it left a warped area on my cutting board. Booo! I now keep a better eye on it and only keep it on the table. duchick at gmail dot com

Oh, would I love that! I have had an Oliso Iron which pops up on its own so when using another iron, it is too easy to leave it down so this is a good safety feature too.

I loved using my sister’s iron with it’s pop out foot rests. Unfortunately when I had to use my own iron I was so conditioned to her iron I forgot to stand up my iron. Luckily it happened on a towel. So, yes I need to win this!
