It is serrated, which means that one blade is smooth and the other has little serrations that control the fabric as you cut. Most people find the grip to be very comfortable. I don’t have any Kai scissors yet, have just ordered my first one from PO’C, would love to have this one as I plan to get a couple of them because I need them and I really want them too, Becky explains the importance of great scissors so well in the videos. Of course I ordered a little charm for the one I ordered too – they’re sooo cute and serve a purpose so you always hold the scissors correctly.
