When Becky taught at Empty Spools last month, she split a set of special Vol 651 Blackwing pencils. This week’s winner, Ruth Buchanan, gets the remaining 9 pencils!
They hold the same extra firm graphite as the Natural pencils and are suitable to use (lightly) on fabric. The Vol 651 pencils are a distinctive black and yellow striped design that goes with the story for this limited edition volume. Check out this story and others on our Blackwing page!

I would love to try these pencils on fabric. I have tried a few of the medium and soft Blackwing pencils and haven’t gone back to my trusting #9 lead mechanical pencils. The tactile feel of the pencils are wonderful. Thank you for carrying these gems!
