It’s time for another blog prize…

We had our first blog “door” prize in November and it’s high time for another one! This is a block from the sampler quilt in our book, The New Applique Sampler.

Becky appliqued this block (by hand, herself) for a class and it never made it into a quilt. The background is 12 1/2″ x 19 1/2″ and it has not been trimmed.

To enter to win this lovely door prize, leave a comment on this post. Be sure to leave your name!

On Friday (or Saturday, depending on how the week goes) we’ll announce a RANDOM winner of our prize! If you post anonymously we may not be able to email you to let you know you won, so be sure to check back.

And don’t forget that the deadline (March 1) for the Free Block Contest is fast approaching. We’ve already received some photos of completed projects and we’re loving them!

  1. Oh, what a wonderful block. On Feb. 20th I’m teaching a class using your book “Quilts with a Spin.” What a suprise for the students, if I won. Thank you for all the inspiration.Kristi M

  3. I love the choice of fabric and colors in the applique piece. If I happen to win the blog prize, I would display the piece in my sewing studio enabling all my applique, quilting, and sewing friends to share in the joy of a “real” Texas masterpiece. The piece reminds me of our Texas days – snow flakes on the blooming flowers one day – sunshine on the same flowers the next. “Only in Texas” as we say – “Only in Texas”.

  4. I’ve loved the shots of Hilton Head and the news about the seminar. AND the wonderful colors! And now a prize. What a way to send some cheer for those of us in cold and snow. I’d be delighted if I won that special block.

  6. This is a beautiful block and it would look great on my red couch as a pillow or in the middle of a larger piece. It love turquoise and red together.

  7. I love the variety of colors and prints used in the flowers of this block. They really look great against the light background. Wonderful! If I don’t win it, I might have to make something similar myself!
