  2. You can never have too many scissors and these sound wonderful. don’t have anything serrated or with quite that sharp a point.

  6. Yes, I read your post about pre-washing fabric. It was a great article. And yes, I believe that is the correct way to do it.
Maybe a lot of colors bleed. But I have noticed that not all light fabrics pick up dye. Only a few pick up dye. So maybe it is more about the mystery of why some pick up dye and others don’t. I don’t pre-wash. I starch my fabric, make the quilt, then wash with several color catchers. I make mostly scrap quilts so I have a lot of different fabrics in a quilt. Recently one of my quilts came out with one fabric that picked up dye, only one. There were several other light fabrics that didn’t pick up dye.
I love all your posts. You are so knowledgeable about so many things. Thank you.

  8. Thank you for the washing fabric information. I previously was confused on using the different chemicals to prevent the fabric dyes from bleeding. Your info is always top notch.

  9. My mom is going through some of the same issues, so happy to hear good news about your mom making progress. I have a pair of these scissors in the larger size and they are wonderful for cutting wool appliqué. I would love a pair of the smaller ones! Thank you for the wonderful giveaways.

  10. I really love the way you use bold color in your quilts. Sometimes I study your quilts to try to understand why the mixture of color, texture and shape works out so fabuloisly.
