Wednesday Giveaway – One-of-a-Kind goes to Barb Dwyer!!

We are giving away our last pink Yazzii Project Folder. Yazzii has discontinued this color option, so it is truly “one-of-a-kind.”

As with all the Project Folders, this one measures 15″ x 12″ x 2″. Plenty big enough to hold your hand sewing projects AND the Best Sandboard fits inside as well!

If you are not the exceptionally lucky winner this week, you can still get a project folder in one of the 7 colors that yazzii makes. Shop for these or any of the organizers we carry by clicking here.

I’ll be back with another Giveaway next Wednesday. Until then you can shop for all sorts of sewing notions, books, and other fun stuff at pieceocake.com!

Wednesday Giveaway – Tea!

Judy was organizing our wool, and found a felted stack that didn’t match our products. We received this “Tea Stack” sometime previously and accidentally added it to our neutral stacks. It’s actually wonderful, but alas we aren’t adding any new wool. Tracy Trevethan is retiring, and we are down to the last couple of months. What a bonus for this week’s winner – Sarah Steele! A lovely Tea Stack, and as with the felted stacks we carry, this one has 6 different pieces, each 7″ x 7 1/2″.

I’ll be back with another Giveaway next Wednesday. Until then you can shop for all sorts of sewing notions, books, and other fun stuff at pieceocake.com!

Wednesday Giveaway – Winner’s Choice to iamyounger!

This week I’m giving away a zen moment – And clean moisturized skin! LoLo’s handcrafted bar soap is one of our favorite self-care products. Each bar is cured for 45 days before being shipped to us. This aging ensures a harder bar that lasts much longer with the proper PH balance.

We carry nine varieties, eight with essential oils and fragrance oils and one unscented. Check out the options (click here). I will let you know our winner’s choice, just for fun!

I’ll be back with another Giveaway next Wednesday. Until then you can shop for all sorts of sewing notions, books, and other fun stuff at pieceocake.com!

Wednesday Giveaway – Janis will Sew Straight!

We’ve all done it – used “do-it-yourself” methods to make a sewing guide that ended up leaving a sticky residue on the bed of our machine. These vinyl strips are so superior! No sticky residue AND repositionable! Check out the “how-to” video by clicking here.

I’ll be back with another Giveaway next Wednesday. Until then you can shop for all sorts of sewing notions, books, and other fun stuff at pieceocake.com!

Wednesday Giveaway goes to Karen McMahon!

This week’s giveaway is a practical tool. Not everyone needs one, but a lot of us find it very handy. What is it? A Threader! And not just one threader, but TWO in ONE from Colonial.

It has two sizes of sturdy wire threaders, inserted into a single handle. That handle is long enough to let you reach and thread your sewing machine needles quickly and easily. The standard threader on the Ivory end is fine enough to work with a #12 applique needle and 2-ply thread. The extra-large threader on the orange end works with thicker thread and bigger needles.

For more information about this threader and to see all the threaders we carry in the store, click here.

I’ll be back with another Giveaway next Wednesday. Until then you can shop for all sorts of sewing notions, books, and other fun stuff at pieceocake.com!

Christmas Tea Towels

Enjoy this tour of Gingiber tea towels currently in my store, and scroll down for the special tea towel deal info. Have them for Christmas, gift them and/or use them as holiday gift wrap (video at bottom)!

Three brand new Christmas tea towel designs + Cardinals! Make your kitchen merry and bright.

Made of 100% flour sack cotton that is both absorbent and nice to touch, but my favorite thing about these towels is the denseness of the designs. When you use towels in the kitchen (and you should use them!), they will eventually get dirty, and stained. These towels stay prettier longer because they hide some of that. Not to mention, they really are very pretty.

Just flowers:

I’ve pulled a Blue Blossoms into my kitchen, and it’s even more lovely in person.

Add birds:

I do love my own chicken towel :-).

Dogs & cats make great gifts:

More creatures:

The Tea Towel Deal is easy! Buy 4 towels, save $8 (that’s $2 off of each towel). Just load up 4 towels in your cart, and the discount will be taken automatically at checkout (no code needed!).

If you happen to order more than 4 towels, the deal does indeed keep going, but it’s a bit glitchy. Lorna will issue a refund where necessary when she’s processing. You can aways email her with questions at lornabethgoldsmith@gmail.com.

Furoshiki and bojagi are popular right now, and you may have seen “gift wrap fabric squares” popping up various places. My video below makes it simple to understand.

A Gingiber tea towel is a perfect, truly reusable, sturdy, gift wrapping. So this holiday season, enjoy happy tea towels in your own kitchen, give them as little gifts, tuck them into stockings, and use them as a sustainable choice for wrapping under the tree. Click here to see them all in the store.

PS: This special set of 4, below, is not part of the special deal, but comes with it’s own pretty tin, and it’s own special price. This is the only way to get the beautiful Seasons towels, and the set makes a wonderful gift.
