Show and tell…

Jane Harris sent me a photo of her newly-finished Searching for Beauty Covid 19 quilt. She wrote:

As you can see i have the first block as Covid 19 and several (8) more blocks to represent the new strains such as the Uk virus, Brazil strain and the African strain. Thanks for inspiring us.

Jane’s idea to use fabric to illustrate the different variants is brilliant! Well done, Jane, all round and thank you for sharing your quilt with us!

If you haven’t found them yet, the free Searching for Beauty patterns are here on my site and here with the videos (and no ads) on Creative Spark.

Quilt by Suzanne Hoffman

Suzanne sent me this photo showing the quilt she made from my Really Simple 9-Patch FREE ePattern. I designed this pattern to show off big prints. It’s a fast and fun quilt that makes especially nice gift quilts.

Suzanne did report that she ran out of sashing and binding fabric, but that it might have been the way she cut the fabric. If you have a similar problem, please do let me know and I’ll change the measurements in the pattern. Happy stitching!

The last auction and a perky elf…

I’m about to send a newsletter, but if you aren’t on that list, you won’t get the news! Firstly, Linda’s last quilt auction of 2014 is up and running. Click here or in the menu bar, above, to see the quilts. There is a link to email Linda to make a bid or ask questions.

Next up, those two cute elves are Christmas ornaments and there’s a FREE pattern for you!

ElfOrnament-22

I made 26 of these little guys to give as presents to family and friends. This is the first year in memory when I’ve finished my ornaments before December 15th and I have you all to thank for that. I had to finish them to be able to put together the FREE pattern that I promised to have ready ‘soon’. Deadlines are good for me :-).

Click here to find the Perky Elf Ornament pattern. Once there, click the picture and the pattern will open in your browser window. You can print the pattern or save it (it’s PDF file) to your computer.

Ho, ho, ho!
