Do they really live secret lives? I don’t know but there are things to know about scissors that are not obvious. Even if you have heard me talk about scissors before, there is new information in this Time Out about scissors. Enjoy!
Wednesday Giveaway
Pam Unnash is the winner of this week’s Giveaway! She will receive Clover’s 3/4˝ pins. I sometimes use them to pin my applique in place but I use them a lot on my design wall. I like then on the wall because they work without being too visible.

I’ll be back with another Giveaway next Wednesday. Until then you can shop for all sorts of sewing notions, books, and other fun stuff at pieceocake.com!
Wednesday Giveaway
Seam rippers… I have a love/hate relationship with mine. I don’t like having to use one but I do love it when it works well.
Connie Werner is this week’s winner. She will receive one of Alex Anderson’s 4-in-1 tools that has a great ripper, a stiletto, a flat end for pressing and a pointy end to Turing corners inside-out.

I’ll be back with another Giveaway next Wednesday. Until then you can shop for all sorts of sewing notions, books, and other fun stuff at pieceocake.com!
Wednesday Giveaway
Congrats to Lynda Muzyka who is this week’s lucky winner. She will receive 2 cute, pink, leather-like, dotted scissor sheaths—1 for small scissors and 1 for medium-sized scissors. These are perfect for protecting the points of your scissors AND they keep your bag from being poked. Scissors are not included.

A Time Out fabric prequel…
I woke up today with a flash of fabric inspiration that I had to share!
Be sure to watch Time Out tomorrow to see the Tisket Tasket Basket block construction in detail. The video link below should go live Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 2:00pm CDT.
Show and tell…
Jane Harris from Marlborough, MA, sent me this photo of the Whilygig quilt she made in 2016. Isn’t it amazing?! The colors glow and are so happy!

You can find the pattern for Whirlygig in the eBook version of Quilts with a Spin. There is also a Print-On-Demand version of this book.
