Queenie the unicorn has been floating in our pool all summer. Sometimes she got out of the pool and sunned herself on the waterfall wall…
But Queenie had outgrown our tiny pool and was yearning for grander spaces. My friend, Helen, came to the rescue and released her into the wild this morning…
Queenie is ecstatic in Helen’s lovely pond with the lily pads, turtles, and little fishes. She is the picture of happiness and I am happy for her!

Mary Hubbard from Green Valley, AZ, saw our Whimsical Quilt Garden quilt on Pinterest, found the pattern, and made the her quilt. Isn’t it lovely! Mary worked on her quilt for about 7 to 9 months all hand appliquéd and hand quilted. She put on a different border that she saw somewhere online. I do love that border, it frames the blocks very well.

Greta is this week’s winner and she will receive a pack of applique pins from Little House. These 3/4″ fine pins have a small glass head. They are a little bit flexible but not bendy which helps them to lay flatter against your applique. I like them!
