Show and tell…

Gwyn Jalbert sent me this photo of her finished Tile Tango quilt. Isn’t it great! I love the placement of her colors and the way they lead your eye around the quilt.

I began it at the Palmetto Quilt Guild workshop in October 2020.
It was hand quilted by a Mennonite lady in Elmira, Ontario.  I love it!!
I am working on the first block of Aunt Millie’s Garden and I will be starting Birds in Toyland on Thursday.  See you then!!

Thank you, Gwyn, for sharing your quilt with us! If any of you would like to make this quilt, it is in my book, The Quilter’s Practical Guide to Color. Happy stitching!

Relax Wrinkles (in your vinyl)

I have told people to use a blow dryer to release creases in their clear vinyl—I finally made a video showing how it works!

I showed this in class and one student says that she soaks her vinyl in her tub in very hot water, then hangs it to dry. That works. You can also place it in the back seat of a hot car.

A tour of my studio…

Yesterday in Time Out I showed my work space. I don’t have a giant space, but I do have enough space. And now that I think of it, my small-is space keeps me from acquiring more stuff than I really need. It’s a win!

Wednesday Giveaway

Kerri is this week’s luck winner and she will receive a set of Yazzii Craft pouches. I love all things Yazzii because they are so very functional while being pretty, and totally useful. These handy dandy zip pouches are constructed in the same way as the pouches that come inside other Yazzii Organizers. Use them with other organizers or on their own. I love them! The set includes 3 sizes of pouches: 7″ x 7″, 6″ x 6″, and 5″ x 5″.
