Wednesday Giveaway

Janet Dickson is this week’s winner and she will receive an Oh Sew Clean Brush & Cloth Set from It’s Sew Emma! The set has two little brushes, flat and angled, and is so much better than the brush that came with my machine! Sweep away lint with soft bristles and clean with a microfiber cleaning cloth that wipes without scratching or scraping. The cloth can also be used on computer keyboards, reading glasses, even phone and tablet screens and cases.

If you aren’t Janet, click the link to find your very own Oh Sew Clean Brush & Cloth Set.

I’ll be back with another Giveaway next Wednesday. Until then you can shop for all sorts of sewing notions, books, and other fun stuff at pieceocake.com!

Hand Sewing, the book, is here!

I am so happy to introduce you to my book, Hand Sewing. Look inside and discover 5 different hand sewing techniques that come together in one lovely quilt: English paper piecing, needleturn applique, wool applique, hand piecing, and hand quilting.

Slow down and enjoy the process of sewing fabrics together, with your own hands while working on a project that you can take with you anywhere!

Wednesday Giveaway

Darlene B. is this week’s winner and she will receive a Sewline Trio Fabric Pencil. It comes with white, black (or graphite), and pink ‘leads’. I would replace the pink with a 2nd white refill because I’m not a fan of colored lines, but that’s me :-). It is handy to have white and graphite in the same pencil. If you aren’t Darlene, click here to find the Sewline Trio Fabric Pencil.

Show and tell…

From Julie Neuffer who wrote to say:

I saw the beautiful Anniversary Quilt that you posted a few days ago. Gorgeous!
Love love love your work!

Just returned from my latest quilting retreat last weekend and wanted to send you this pic. Took me forever to finish Fresh Picked Posies, as you can tell from the starting date, but I loved every second of it. Thank you for your wonderful work and inspiration! I’ve also got several of the Thru Grandmother’s Window blocks done. They’re very pretty. Up on my design wall and speaking to me. Hmmmm…. Best,Julie

I love it! Well done, Julie! this is a big quilt and sometimes they do take longer to finish. I love the way you improv-pieced the backgrounds. Give yourself a nice pat on the back. Thank you for sharing your quilt with us!
