We breathe without thinning about it, all day and all night long. But it’s a good idea (every now and then_ to stop and take a moment to breathe quietly, with intention. Try it… I think you will like it.
Jim the Pillow is finished! I hope you all have enjoyed seeing how to start with a photo, make a pattern, applique the shape, and add embroidery to bring your pet to life.
Watch this video to see how I embroidered the flowers—plus how to sew the chain and detached chain stitches!
It’s subtle, but the lines of stitching below Jim anchor him in place :-). I finished the bottom of the pillow with a zipper to make it easy to clean as needed.
I post the Time Out videos here for those of you who miss them on Youtube, Facebook, and IGTV. I am a week behind on the Jim the Pillow posts, so here is Part 3. I’m live again this coming Wednesday. Part 4 will show up on here on the blog after that.
Keeping up with social media is a juggling act and my balls are not always in the air :-).
Next up… applique!
We’ll start embroidering in Part 3.
I’m making a pillow featuring my cat Jim and I thought it would be fun to share the idea and techniques. In case some of you don’t catch my Time Outs in other places (YouTube, Facebook, and now IGTV), here is Part 1 where I show you how you can get a drawing of your own special pet.
