We have earrings!

E09-DaisyAndDotsBlue Who knew?

Artist Peg Howard has used our quilt and fabric images to create some wonderful, feather-light earrings that we love – and we hope you will too!

They are inexpensive and will make nice Christmas gifts. Are the holidays sneaking up on you the way they are on me? Oh my.

Click here to see them all.

OOPS – I meant to post this tomorrow. Please look at the next post as well. It's about the Alzheimer's Art Quilt World Series Auction (boy, that's a long name) and I hope you don't want to miss it.

AND – even better! Peg designed earrings for the AAQI World Series auciton. Click here to see them. If you order a pair with the image of my quilt I get points (I'm not sure what kind of points, but I like them!)

Addicted to dishes…

It's true – I am addicted to dishes. I've decided, however, that it's time to pass on sets I have used and loved to my DILs to make room for what is going to be my last new set of dishes. Steve and I bought a set of MUD Australia dishes when we were in Melbourne. They came today!

Even Jack thinks they are pretty nice!

They are made with French porcelain in Australia. They are light and strong and lovely. We got white dinner plates and a variety of colors in the coordinate pieces. I can't wait to use them!

FYI – I am barely home from market and will post more tomorrow (I hope) before I head to Bloomington, IL, on Thursday to teach.

We’re set up!

It feels good to have the booth ready to go. Mostly. The floor needs vacuuming and the lights aren’t on in the hall but we”re done until tomorrow. Here”s how we look:

We’ll foof it up a bit in the morning. And this is Julie Herman of Jaybird Quilts fame (below). She made that cute quilt with circles that she is standing next to that she is graciously letting us show in our booth. She has a pattern for the quilt and I’ll you will see it if you check out her blog at http://www.jaybirdquilts.com/ . She also blogs for Robert Kaufman Fabrics and I think you’ll see us there soon!

I’ll send more updates tomorrow.

We’re setting up!

Having a booth at quilt market is really nice – we get to re-connect with old friends and make new ones. It’s a time to see what’s new in the quilt world. There is, however, some work involved. This is what our booth looked like when we arrived. The very wonderful folks from Robert Kaufman had already hung our drapes and dressed our table!

We got a lot done today and I’m not sure how much I can show, but here’s a look at the booth in progress. I’ll be back with more tomorrow!

We really are working hard!

AtTheIroningBoard Linda and I have been hard at work since last Thursday. Quilt Market is practically here and we're not ready yet. Oh my!

And, in even more exciting news, we've gotten the sample yardage from our 2nd collection of fabric! We can't really say (or show) more but you are going to love this fabric too!

There are new patterns, a new book, and lots of new fabric coming from Piece O' Cake in 2011. We can hardly wait (and as I type this Carly Simon is singing about anticipation in the background… really, she is!)
