Show and tell…

Sue Kersey sent me this photo of her Christmas Delivery quilt. I love the way she embellished it!

I got pieces of the pattern from a friend as she found it at a garage sale. So I did the best I could figure out and made it into a small Christmas quilt this last year during the pandemic. I thought it might be yours but it was not marked and I would love to know what it is called. Was it a book, just a pattern or I think you said it was a download?

Sue Kersey

To answer Sue’s questions, Christmas Delivery was never in a book. It has always been a downloadable pattern (click here to find it). I made mine into a pillow but, as you can see, it makes a wonderful wall quilt! Thank you, Sue, for sharing it with all of us :-).

Show and tell…

Do you remember this post from July 28 where you saw the start of Marilyn McWilliams’s Bullseye quilt? Well, she got her flying geese border blocks made and sewn on!

I think the colors in the photo above are more accurate than in the photo below, but either way, this is a stunning quilt. Well done, Marilyn, and thank you so much for sharing your quilt with us. Can’t wait to see it once it is quilted :-).

A few ladies & I got together & did your block of the month Sizzle pattern. I thought you’d like to see my rendition of it below. I added three extra blocks to make it fit my queen bed. I also used an a accu-quilt dye to make unique corner blocks.

Karen, you did a great job of altering the pattern to make it fit your bed. I notice that you also made the borders wider and used a lovely appliquéd block in the corners. Well done! And the quilting is perfect. I hope that you use and enjoy your quilt for a long time :-).

If any of you would like to make your own Sizzle quilt, click here to find the book.

Thank you, Karen, for sharing your lovely quilt with us!
